The problem we exist to solve

Every transition risks a generation of hard-won knowledge.

An election, a retirement, a restructuring, a resignation. Each one carries the same quiet danger: decades of judgment, relationships, precedent, and institutional memory can walk out the door with the people who earned them.

Most organizations start over far more often than they realize. Verdanth exists so they never have to.

  • Grievance precedent lost when an experienced steward moves on.
  • Bargaining history scattered across inboxes and retired laptops.
  • Member relationships that lived in one organizer's head.
  • New leaders inheriting confusion instead of confidence.
What Verdanth is

Not a single app. A family of operating systems, guided by one philosophy.

Each Verdanth platform solves a focused problem for the organizations responsible for people and communities — and every one is built to make institutional knowledge compound instead of disappear. Buy one, or run them together as a connected organizational operating system.

Who we serve

Built for the organizations responsible for people.

The challenge Verdanth solves isn't industry-specific — it's the loss of knowledge and continuity during change. We start with the labour movement, where we've spent fifteen years, and extend to every organization that endures across generations.

Why Verdanth

Most software competes on features. We compete on continuity.

Technology changes quickly. Human organizations endure for generations. Every product we build must answer one question — will this make an organization stronger over time? If the answer is no, it doesn't belong in the portfolio.

Experience should outlive people

Knowledge earned through service, negotiation, and leadership becomes a permanent asset — not something that leaves with an individual.

Simplicity creates adoption

If a tool needs a manual to understand, we redesign the tool. Systems should reduce friction, not add it.

Trust is the whole business

You entrust us with your organization's history and data. We earn it through privacy, security, and ethical decisions — every time.

Security & trust

Your members' data, protected as if it were our own.

Unions and non-profits hold some of the most sensitive information there is — membership, grievances, ballots. Trust isn't a feature for us; it's the foundation every platform is built on.

Privacy-first by design

Data governance built in from the first line of code, not bolted on later.

Canadian roots

Built in Canada for organizations that care where their data lives.

Responsible AI

AI is adopted only where it strengthens trust and preserves knowledge — never for its own sake.

Accessible to everyone

Designed to meet modern accessibility standards so every member can participate.

In their words

What changes when nothing is lost.

“We stopped losing years of history every time a leadership term ended. That alone changed how we operate.”

— President, Regional Labour Council

“The grievance precedent alone paid for itself. New stewards start with decades of institutional memory behind them.”

— Executive Director, Non-Profit Association

“Our last election ran without a single dispute. Members could see it was secure, and that trust carried into everything after.”

— Secretary-Treasurer, Skilled Trades Union

“When our long-time organizer retired, nothing walked out the door with her. The next campaign started exactly where the last one left off.”

— Organizing Director, Provincial Local
A new chapter, the same commitment

Union Technologies is becoming Verdanth.

For more than fifteen years we built technology for the labour movement under the name Union Technologies. As our family of products grew, we outgrew a single-product name. Verdanth is the parent company that unites them — same team, same support, same values, with a stronger foundation for the decades ahead. Nothing about your service changes; everything about our future does.

A note from our founder

“I don't want this company to depend on one individual. I want it to become an institution. Many of the organizations we serve have existed for more than a hundred years — their leaders changed many times, but their mission endured. That is the kind of company we are building.”

Questions

The things organizations ask us first.

Who owns our data?
You do — always. Your members, your records, and your history belong to your organization; we are the steward, not the owner. You can export everything at any time, and if you ever leave, you take it all with you.
Can we move off the tools we use today?
Yes. Migration is part of how we onboard — we help you bring members, history, and records over from your current systems, so you begin with your knowledge intact rather than a blank page.
Where is our data hosted?
On trusted enterprise cloud infrastructure with Canadian data-residency options, professionally managed and continuously monitored. The full picture is on our Security & Trust page.
Do we have to buy the whole platform?
No. Each product stands on its own — start with the one that solves your most urgent problem and add others when you are ready. They work beautifully together, but you are never forced into all of them.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is tailored to your organization's size and the products you use. Book a short call and we will give you a straight answer for your situation — no pressure, no drawn-out sales cycle.
How do you use AI?
Only where it strengthens trust and preserves knowledge — like classifying grievances or surfacing precedent. Never to make decisions for you, and never using your data to train anyone else's models.
